Ayika has circa 16 years’ experience spanning clinical medicine and academia. She earned her MBBS at UNN and MPH (occupational and environmental health) at the University of Texas. Subsequently, she completed her Ophthalmology residency at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and qualified as a Fellow of the Faculty of Ophthalmology, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and the West African College of Surgeons.
Her surgical specialty is cataract and glaucoma surgeries. Her research interest is in glaucoma and occupational health. She has presented research papers at national and international conferences.
